Blessing of the Monstrance and Ombrellino

Sunday, November 23 – Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe

During the 11:00 a.m. Solemn Mass on the Solemnity of Christ the King, our parish marked a moment of profound gratitude and devotion with the blessing of a newly donated monstrance and ombrellino. The blessing took place at the conclusion of the liturgy, uniting the parish community in reverence for the Lord truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist.

The monstrance – an elegant French antique dating to the mid-19th century – was generously given by Mr. Dominik, Mrs. Susan, and the Benvenuto family. Its beauty and craftsmanship reflect a deep love for the Eucharistic Lord, and it will serve our parish for generations, drawing hearts to adore Christ with renewed devotion.

The ombrellino, to be used in Eucharistic processions throughout the liturgical year, was graciously donated by the Our Lady of the Rosary Columbiettes. This traditional canopy is a sign of honor and joyful reverence, accompanying the Blessed Sacrament as the Lord walks with His people.

We extend heartfelt thanks to all who contributed these sacred gifts. May their generosity inspire in us a deeper love for the Eucharist and strengthen our life of faith as a parish united under Christ our King.

Fr. Anthony
